When you’re painting a surface or applying a film coating to add protection and/or a specific finish, a coating thickness gauge (also known as a paint thickness gauge or paint meter) will ensure that everything is compliant with Australian standards. A coating thickness gauge will measure the dry film thickness of a vast majority of metals and is important for many reasons, including:
HK Calibration Technologies offers professional calibration of coating thickness gauges to ensure you get the most accurate readings possible.
HKCT understands just how important using measurement equipment that offers precise and accurate readings is to your work, which is why we provide expert calibration services for a wide range of measurement tools. Come to us when you require:
If your require calibration of coating thickness gauges from a different brand, HKCT is happy to take a look and let you know if and how we can help.
Calibration of coating thickness standards vary according to the base material that the paint or film has been applied to. Your initial choice of coating thickness gauge largely depends upon whether that base material is ferrous (i.e. steel based), non-ferrous (i.e. aluminium and stainless steel), a combination of the two, or non-metallic, such as cement, wood or plaster. In addition to providing calibration of paint thickness gauges, HKCT can also accommodate other coatings, including powder coating, enamel, plastic, glass, rubber, fibre and more. We can provide calibration services for both mechanical and digital thickness gauges. Contact us to find how we can help you.
